Thomas' Olympic Story |
Thomas' passion for sport was well recognised and during his time at Cardiff he was one of the torch bearers for the London 2012 Olympic Games. He carried the Olympic Flame through Dartmouth in the lead up to the Games, a once in a lifetime experience for all who were fortunate to be part of an amazing day.
Following graduation from Cardiff, Thomas undertook freelance work with organisations including the British Paralympic Association, British Rowing, the BBC and ITV. It was a Sky though where Thomas most enjoyed his time and he was delighted to receive the offer of a full time job with the sports bulletin team. Thomas loved his time with Sky and would have gone far but died very sadly and unexpectedly from complications related to previous surgery on 2nd January 2015. This website is to celebrate his life, his incredible achievements and to develop a bursary in his name to help journalists who also suffer with abilities to achieve their dreams. |
