Fundraising 2020!

10K for Thomas!

2020 has not been the year that any of us expected. But major global events need brave and dedicated journalists with diverse backgrounds and inclusive workplaces that support everyone to achieve to the best of their ability.

The Thomas Read Bursary has always been about allowing people to achieve their best, and this has never been more important. So even a global pandemic can't dampen our fundraising spirits!

Clearly a large gathering would be out of the question this year, but our friends at NCTJ have suggested the fantastic idea of a socially distanced fundraising event on Saturday 27th June where all over the country people walk, run or cycle to raise money for the bursary.

It might mean dusting off those running shoes, going on your favourite walk or even trying out that new bike you bought just before lockdown! Whatever you choose to do we're asking you to please help raise some money for the bursary.

On the day we'll be posting across our social media feeds about the activities taking place across the UK, and in the evening a special virtual awards ceremony will take place.

So please do take part, and let us know what you're planning to do over at our Facebook page!

Thank you!
